Day One

Group arrival at the Castle Hill Resort and Spa in Ludlow, VT.  Upon your arrival you will be greeted by the staff with a Welcome Reception in the lobby.  A wonderful Vermont Turkey Dinner is served at the hotel.  Relax and enjoy the amenities of the resort.  (D)

Day Two

A hearty breakfast is served at the hotel.  This morning we depart with our local guide for the Rock of Ages Granite Quarries.  Here you will experience the industry that built Central Vermont.  We will tour the mammoth quarry and watch master sculptors and artisans at the factory.  Next we travel to Vermont’s State Capital, Montpelier. You will have free time for lunch and shopping on your own.  This afternoon we visit the Morse Sugar Farm where we learn about maple sugaring and enjoy a traditional sugar-on-snow.  A wonderful dinner is prepared at the hotel this evening.  (B,D)

Day Three

A hearty breakfast is served before we board the coach with our local guide for a day of touring.  This morning we travel to the Billings Farm & Museum, an 1890 historic working farm.  Explore one of the finest small dairy farms in America and a museum of Vermont’s rural past.  Next enjoy some free time in the charming town of Woodstock for lunch and shopping on your own.  This afternoon we travel to Quechee Gorge (Vermont’s Little Grand Canyon) for pictures and conclude our day with a visit to Sugarbush Farms where you will learn about maple sugaring and sample many of fine Vermont products.  Another delicious dinner with live piano music is served at the Castle on the Hill at the resort.  (B,D)

Day Four

Following breakfast, we board the coach for our journey home taking with us many fond memories of our time in the Green Mountains of Vermont.  (B)
