Available: September 24 – October 1, 2023. Join us for an action-packed seven days surrounded by the beauty of New England Fall Foliage. With stops in Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts and Rhode Island, this tour features magnificent historical homes, working farms, a railroad excursion, scenic city tours and delicious food including a lobster dinner.

Day One
Upon arrival in Massachusetts we are met by our local, knowledgeable guide who will be with us for the next seven days. Our first stop brings us to the Yankee Candle Company Factory in Deerfield, Massachusetts where you will have time for lunch and shopping on your own. We continue on to Manchester, Vermont and check in to our centrally located hotel for the next two nights. Dinner is included this evening at a local restaurant (D).

Day Two
Breakfast is included at the hotel this morning. Following breakfast, we board the motorcoach for a beautiful day of touring in the Green Mountain State. First stop is the Vermont Country Store in Weston, where you can find all things uniquely New England in the original Country Store. Next we visit Scott’s Covered Bridge for pictures before returning to Manchester for lunch and shopping on your own. This afternoon we visit Hildene, the home of Robert Todd Lincoln. Explore the beautiful grounds and tour the exquisite Georgian Revival home. Dinner is included this evening at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day Three
Breakfast is included at the hotel this morning. Following breakfast, we board the coach and start making our way to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Our first stop brings us to Billings Farm and Museum where you will have time to explore this historic working farm, including the barns, agricultural museum and the 1890 farmhouse. We then make a stop in charming, downtown Woodstock for lunch on your own. After lunch we will stop for pictures at Quechee Gorge (Vermont’s Little Grand Canyon) before continuing on to North Conway, New Hampshire for the next two nights. Dinner is included this evening at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day Four
Breakfast is included at the hotel this morning. Our day in the White Mountains begins with a visit to the Hobo Railroad for a spectacular scenic train ride through the mountains and along the winding Pemigewasset River. We visit North Woodstock, NH for lunch and shopping on our own before setting out on the Kancamagus Highway, voted one of the Most Scenic Highways in the United States. We will stop for pictures along the way before arriving back in North Conway for free time to explore on your own. Dinner is included this evening at a local restaurant. (B,D)

 

Day Five
Breakfast is included at the hotel this morning. Say goodbye to New Hampshire as we make our way to Freeport, Maine. Upon arrival in Freeport we have time for lunch and shopping on our own – be sure to visit the LL Bean Flagship store). Our next stop brings us to Portland, ME where we are met by our local step on guide for a narrated driving tour to include the Old Port, the Eastern and Western Promenades, the Longfellow House, Saco Bay and the Bug Light. We then make our way to our conveniently located hotel for an overnight. A traditional Maine Lobster Dinner is included this evening. (B,D)

Day Six
Breakfast is included at the hotel this morning. Boarding the motorcoach we begin our journey south along the coast making a detour through Kennebunkport and a drive past Walker’s Point (the Summer home of the Bush Family). Arriving in Boston, Massachusetts we will enjoy free time for lunch and shopping on your own in Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall. Following lunch we are met by our local step on guide for a narrated scenic driving tour of Boston to include the Old State House, the State House, the Boston Common, the North Church and the USS Constitution. We continue on to Fall River, MA where we will overnight for the next two nights. Dinner is including this evening at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day Seven
Breakfast is included at the hotel this morning. Boarding the coach we prepare for a day spent in the Ocean State, Rhode Island. Upon arrival in Newport, we are met by our local step on guide for a narrated scenic tour of Ten Mile Drive And Bellevue Avenue. Along the way take in the sites of Narragansett Bay, Fort Adams, the Mansions, St. Mary’s Church and Touro Synagogue. Enjoy lunch and shopping on your own in downtown Newport along the Harbor and Thames Street. This afternoon we enjoy a tour of one of Newport’s renowned mansions – either the Breakers or the Elms. We end our day with a wine tasting at one of Rhode Islands most popular wineries before returning to the hotel. Dinner is included this evening at a local restaurant. (B,D).

Day Eight
Breakfast is included at the hotel this morning before beginning our journey home with many fond memories of Fall Foliage in New England.
