Monday, April 8, 2024

Breakfast is included at your hotel this morning.  Following breakfast, we join our knowledgeable local guide for a morning of touring before the mid-afternoon Eclipse.  Our first stop takes us to the Cold Hollow Cider Mill where you will see the production of their delicious cider and famous cider donuts.  Next we stop at the Cabot Cheese Farmer’s Store and the Lake Champlain Chocolate Annex for an opportunity to pick up more of Vermont’s most popular products.  We then make a short drive to the charming town of Stowe for lunch and shopping on your own.  After lunch we journey to Montpelier (Vermont’s Capital) for a stop at the Vermont State House for pictures before continuing to our premier hillside viewing area.  While we wait for the arrival of the eclipse, you will be treated to delicious Maple treats including Creemee’s and Maple Kettle Corn.  Seating for the eclipse will be provided.  You may want to pack a blanket as the weather in Vermont can be fickle.  Enjoy the total solar eclipse predicted to last four minutes and 28 seconds!!  We return to your hotel for another wonderful dinner tonight at your hotel or a popular, local restaurant.  (B,D)
