Available:  October 18 – 22, 2021.  A fun-filled four-night tour showcasing just a few of the tasty treats that make Vermont so special.  Apples and cider, maple syrup, meats and cheese, ice cream, wine and a teddy bear too!

Day One

Arrival at the beautiful Pointe Hotel at the Castle Hill Resort & Spa conveniently located in central Vermont.  Upon arrival enjoy a welcome reception of cider and cookies.  Dinner this evening will be served at the luxurious Castle followed by light entertainment in the lounge.

Day Two

Breakfast is served at the hotel this morning.  Following breakfast we depart for Shoreham, VT and Champlain Orchards for a tour of the orchards and a unique look at the many varietals grown here in Vermont.  Our next stop takes us to Middlebury where we enjoy a delicious lunch at the Waybury Inn (made famous by the 1990’s classic show, “Newhart”).  Following lunch, we make our way to the Danforth Pewter Factory where we take in a spinning demonstration and have time to browse through the dozens of handcrafted pewter items.  We end our afternoon with a stop at the New England Maple Museum, where we learn the history of Vermont’s “Liquid Gold”.  Returning to the hotel, dinner this evening will be a Traditional Turkey dinner with all the fixings.

Day Three

Breakfast is served at the hotel this morning.  Following breakfast we depart for Waterbury Center, VT and the Cold Hollow Cider Mill.  Here you will have the opportunity to learn how their delicious cider is made (and enjoy a homemade cider donut).  We then make our way to the charming village of Stowe for lunch and shopping on your own.  A quick stop at the Cabot Farmer’s Store and the adjacent Lake Champlain Chocolates before ending our afternoon at Ben & Jerry’s.  We’ll enjoy a tasty ice cream and visit the Flavor Graveyard.  Returning to the hotel we’ll enjoy another delightful dinner this evening at the Castle followed by light entertainment in the lounge.

Day Four

Breakfast is served at the hotel this morning.  Following breakfast, we depart for Ferrisburgh, VT and Dakin Farms.  Watch how they make their world-famous meats and cheeses and be sure to try a sample (or two).  Next, we make our way to Shelburne and the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory.  Here you will have the opportunity to see how Vermont’s most Furry Friends are created.  Traveling north to Burlington we visit the Historic Church Street Marketplace where you will have time for lunch and shopping on your own.  We finish up our day of travel with a visit to Shelburne Vineyards for a delightful presentation and tasting of their wines.  Returning to the hotel we enjoy our final dinner.

Day Five

Breakfast is served at the hotel this morning.  Depart for home with fond memories (and a full tummy) of your time in the beautiful Green Mountain State.
