Arrival at our Northern Door County waterfront resort where we will spend the next three nights. Once settled into your comfortable accommodation’s, a delicious dinner will be served at the resort.
Day Two
We will be met by our local knowledgeable guide at the resort before departing via motorcoach for a day of touring on Washington Island. Our first stop brings us to Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant for a feast of Swedish pancakes topped with lingonberries and lots of laughs as you watch the antics of the resident goats. We continue on to the Northport Pier Ferry terminal where we make the crossing to Washington Island. Our day on the island includes visits to the one-of-a-kind School House Beach, the Washington Island Farm Museum, Stavkirke Church and a stop at Mann’s Mercantile. Lunch will be served today at Nelsen’s Hall. After a day of touring, we return via ferry to the resort for a chance to freshen up. Tonight we enjoy a traditional Fish Boil dinner and an entertaining historical re-enactment.
