MARCH 27-30
SEE THE BEST OF SOUTH CAROLINA AND GEORGIA. WITNESS SUNRISES BY THE OCEAN, GAZE UP AT THE TOWERING LIVE OAKS, LEARN ABOUT THE SOUTH’S RICH HISTORY AND MUCH, MUCH MORE.
The Lowcountry is home to some of the most distinctive and memorable landscapes of the East. We will have the privilege of capturing one of the defining images of this region: The southern live oak forests, with their magnificent and ancient trees enrobed in blankets of Spanish moss. See the mysterious “boneyard” beaches, where the skeletons of dead trees remain standing in the ocean as coastal erosion slowly eats away at the land, is sure to introduce to you to a new perspective on the old south. The best part: late March is the Azalea bloom, when the gardens will be bursting with color. A trip around Charleston finds us exploring its immaculately manicured plantations with flower gardens, ponds, native wildlife and livestock. We’ll also visit Savannah and take a trolley tour around the historic center, and finish our weekend photographing beautiful Bonaventure Cemetery and Wormsloe plantation.
